International Yoga day was celebrated as an awareness camp to spread the Yogic wisdom that lies within us. The very objective of this celebration was that everyone incorporates Yoga as their daily practice to have a balanced state of mind, body and breathe to become a better version of the self.
The event was held on 21st of June 2022, at 7.00 am at the TI School Assembly area giving an open invite to all students, teachers and parents. The participants were welcomed with a badge by the student volunteer. Later the mats were placed with social distance with the help of Sports department and the student volunteers. The program started with great enthusiasm and energy with a prayer song and a welcome note followed by talk on what is Yoga, myths about Yoga, benefits, Health Tips and how to self-motivate oneself to make it a habit. 20mins of Asana was demonstrated that tones up all the joints and muscles with 10mins of breathing exercise and 5mins of relaxation. The session ended with a vote of thanks by thanking the entire team for their support and cooperation.
As a part of orientation program to teachers, a session on Motivation was conducted on 6th July 2022 for 43 teachers. Mrs. Ashisha Benjamin, Student Counselor, Murugappa Polytechnic College addressed the teachers.
The welcome address was given by Mr. Bharani Raj, Student Counselor, TI School.
The program was activity filled and Mrs. Ashisha Benjamin engaged all the teachers to see the unseen in self. This workshop not only made the teachers learn about self but also trained them to have a positive perspective towards their surrounding environment. The teachers actively participated in all the activities. They were also given enough time by the resource person to engage and the output from the teachers were well addressed.
