Fruit Salad Making - Kindergarten

Objective of the activity: To enhance visual and sensory skills and inculcate the value of eating fruits.

The teachers of LKG made a demo on preparing the fruit salad to children. The demo was on preparation, texture of the fruit, smell and also the taste.

After the demo, children were asked to pick the models of the fruits which were used for making the salad. This served as a meaningful platform to enhance their sensory skills and also understand the importance of fruits in daily life.

Objective of the activity: To enhnace self-adaptive, social, emotional, sensory and langauage skills.

Mr. Ashok, Office Asssitant, who is an expertise in Sandwich making played the role of the Chef on that day. There was absolute silence when the chef was preparing the sandwich with a lavish spread of cheese and butter. The sandwich had rich ingredients like cucumber and tomato too.

On observing the chef, the children were eager to prepare one on their own. The activity of children getting into groups and making the sandwich was a real feast to our eyes. They clearly followed the steps demonstrated by th chef.

At the end, we could see their eyes twinkle with a sense of accomplishment!!!!
