Our Principal's inspiring message to the future generation on the 68th Republic Day - 26th January 2017

On 26th January 2017, ‘Republic Day’ celebration was held at TI school on small scale.

As a regular process Principal, TI School hoisted the flag. The school band played the ‘National Anthem’ where the entire team was saluting as a mark of honour to the ‘National Flag’.

Followed by a flag song and patriotic songs – Thayin Manikkodi Paareer, Desh Hamara Darthi Apni and Vande mataram – were sung by the school choir.

Three aspects that he insisted on :

  • Sustainability
  • Leadership and followership -
  • Identifying quality solutions across the organization

Identifying quality solutions across the organization - Quality – you know it when you see it. It emerges from basic human desire to excel. I wish all of us would have this desire. As teachers we have our goals and strategies to go beyond in shaping the minds of our children – Holistic development

Quality is a result of carefully constructed cultural environment. It has to be the fabric of the organization and not the part of the fabric. Quality has to be woven into the fabric of our nation. More so our organization.

He concluded the speech with Gandhiji’s quote :

"It’s quality of our work that we should go ahead not the quantity".

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world"

Illuminate the quest for quality and creativity in all aspects of your life, your work and your ‘studentship’

The Margazhi Vibes

The month of Margazhi brings the season of winter to us. It not only cools the Earth but it also cools our soul. It revives our cultural spirit. During this season, everyone seems to be painting the town red. It is a clear sign that the festivities have begun. In Bhagwat Gita, Lord Krishna describes the month of Margazhi as one of his manifestations. This month is highly auspicious.

Decorations apart, there is an artistic expression which is connected to the month of Margazhi. It is kolam. One requires a lot of creativity and artistic touches to put kolams. Margazhi month has women getting up at early hours to put kolams in front of their houses. It is like a garland that adorns houses.

Tradition’s baton is being passed on to younger generations through activities like kolam, singing divine songs etc. T.I.School, on the path to creating traditionalists, conducted the Margazhi Utsav. This kolam fest was on the 13th of January. There is a stereotype that only girls and women can put kolam. Our boys broke that and participated with a lot of enthusiasm. This occasion saw kids dressed like Gods and Goddesses come around and survey our kolams. This boosted up our energy even more and the air was filled with excitement and vibrating energy. The three spheres of our school- students, parents, staff were exuberant and mesmerized everyone with their marvels (kolams). It was a wonderful sight to watch and this event summarized the art of celebrating together.
