A day of observation and review – Management with Mr.Ram Todd

A presentation on ‘our journey so far with the Oxford teachers’ was presented to our Correspondent, Joint correspondent and Mr. Ram Todd

Ms.Emma and Ms.Ashleigh shared their experience of teaching students, sharing pedagogies with teachers and the training program conducted for teachers. (Both for T.I. and SRM school)

Correspondent and Joint correspondent reviewed the process that had happened so far and suggested teachers to implement the techniques to understand the effectiveness

Correspondent, Joint correspondent and Mr. Ram Todd observed classes handled by both the Oxford teachers followed by a discussion with Mr. Ram Todd on taking forward this initiative for the next three weeks.

Grand Parent Story Telling  

Grand Parent Story telling !!!

Mr. N.S Chellappa, Grand parent of Rahul Krishna and Pooja S of class VIII B and XI A respectively addressed class III A students at 10.30 am on 26.07.16. He shared lots of small Panchatantra stories which speaks about values for children. The children enjoyed the session a lot.

Investiture Function 2016

The Investiture Ceremony is one of the first momentous occasions of the school where the newly elected members of the school’s senate are officially vested with their powers, positions and responsibilities.

True leadership is a combination of responsibility, empathy and selflessness. A good leader not only attracts people but also knows the art of holding them together.

Ambili Unnikrishnan, President of the Student Council and the other council members took the pledge and oath and shouldered their responsibilities as true leaders.

Community Lunch

The community lunch began with an invocation to goddess Annapoorneshwari on 22.07.16. The entire event was spear headed by four teachers and four parent volunteers, children when spoken to reported that they really enjoyed the food and time together in a new surround.

As a prerequisite, the entire plan was shared with parents at the std 5 PTM and followed up with a circular. Common food items were chosen and 15 students were requested to bring the same.The students were spoken to on table manners and etiquette as a value add.

Health Check up for all the students from class LKG to XII was done on 18th, 19th and 20th July by the doctors from SHARP Organisation.

Mayur Culturals 2016

AMM School conducted Mayur Culturals 2016, an interschool competition the 15th and 16th of July 2016.Our students participated in many events and won many cash prizes. Here are the Winners. T.I team congratulates all the winners and wishes them many more laurels to come.

Students of AIESEC visit T.I School

AIESEC is a worldwide organization which develops leadership potential of youth through experiential and professional internship. It is a platform for India to connect with global network talent. University students from various countries around the world visit schools in India.

Our School has initiated this 'Student interact program' which will take place for a week from 15th of July to 20th of July.

University students from Egypt, Spain and China are interacting with our students on the ISA projects taken up for this academic year. The interns speak to the students on the project and share information on similar practices that prevail in their country.

The sessions are informative and interactive. These exchanges enable students gain global perspective, improve their ability to think and suggest ways to meet global challenges.

Our PGT Chemistry staff Mrs.Chitra has been elevated as Vice Principal

Helga Todd Teacher Interact Program

The day began with the little ones of kindergarten garlanding and welcoming our guests Ms. Emma Thomas and Ms. Ashleigh Lockett. The inauguration commenced with the invocation song "Maithreem Bhajatha" followed by the welcome address by our Principal Mr.D.Senthil Kumar.

Our Advisor Mr.P.R.Rao addressed the gathering and talked about the challenges faced by Indian students in learning English.

Ms. Emma Thomas and Ms. Ashleigh Lockett also shared their views and excitement about the eight week program. As an introduction, the school presentation was screened and the student council members took them on a school tour explaining the different facilities and practices.

On the latter part of the day, Principal T.I., Headmaster SRM along with teachers of English from both the schools met to understand the tentative plan and discuss the methodology of taking forward this program effectively.

The teachers handling English (SRM and T.I.) briefed the O.T’s on the existing methods of teaching English. Also they had a look at the lesson plan, text books – Xseed, samacheer kalvi and work books.
