Report on the project Sunday Tamil School

The inauguration of "Sunday Tamil School" was held on 24.06.18 (Sunday). The programme commenced with "Lighting of lamp" harmonizing with a Bharathiyar song to admire and fall in love with our Tamil language and its attributes, and paying reverence to The Mother of Tamil; with "Tamil thaai vaazhthu".

The welcome address was delivered by, Miss. Swathi Lakshmi of XII C and hosted by, Miss. Sangeeta of XII C.

Our chief guest Mr. A. Shahul Hameed, former Math teacher of SRM School, a Tamil poet, orator and a writer, addressed the significance of the language, its uniqueness and benefits attained by learning Tamil, apart from the usual field of study.

Adding to it, he stated that Tamil and its culture has the capacity to transform the approach and behavior of a child if followed from early stages of his/her life.

The chief guest expressed his gratitude and applauded the Trustee of the AMM Foundation for initiating this magnificent project "Sunday Tamil School" and appreciated Mr. A. Rajagopal Secretary AMM Foundation for making the dream of the trustees come true.

Post the chief guest's address, Mr. A. Rajagopal highlighted the importance by stating the objectives of this Sunday Tamil School and was pleased about the efforts made by Mrs. R. Kamakshi, Advisor, AMM Schools, who worked in designing the curriculum for the Sunday Tamil School.

Mr. A. Rajagopal introduced the resource teachers to the parents and extended his request to support this mission whole heartedly.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Master Shri Hari of XII B.

On the first day of the event, the resource teacher trained the children on 'Vanakkam paadal' highlighting the importance of greeting.

Maharishi Vidya Mandir Interschool competition

Inter-school events play a role in encouraging students to achieve, shine and present a lot more reward than just winning a prize. Competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. Competitions also encourage students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills.

The students of T.I participated in Maharishi Vidya Mandir Interschool completion on 30th June 2018 and bagged several prizes under different categories.
