Children’s Day Celebration

Every good event begins with the prayer and so did the children’s day with the choir consisting teachers for “a change” . After the prize distribution GRK mam and Uma mam were all in a sing mood conveying the significance of the day through song and poem. Though the beat was all melodies for “vellai pookal” song it did give drastic rise for “move and freeze” where teachers were in great zeal to shake their legs. We, children were given chance to twist our tongue.Come on! It was tongue twister by. CB and YM mam. They shared a series of jokes and we couldn’t prevent ourselves from laughing. PT department did juggling and silambattum surprising everyone. The teachers started to express their dramatic skills and the tempo went high. It was the skit “Valluvar Vandhal”. Thiruvalluvar in the modern era and his thirukurals’s application in this techno era was depicted very beautifully. Chitra mam’s addressing was mainly focused on the transition period from the school children to colle ge students. No cultural event is complete without a dance in TI. So were the teachers shaking their legs for a folk song making the event complete in full joy- TI family/ its true right ?
