IMPRESSION (Teacher Observer)

The Children became emotional after watching the movie ‘Oru Pasuvin Kadhai’ and it had its effect till the end. The students participated well in the discussions held by the teachers. They articulated well on the importance of being honest. From their expressions and emotions, it was evident that the movie pasuvin kadhai put the children on to the thinking mode.

The children spoke about ‘Father Character’ in the movie 1 mark. Initially at the start of the discussion they didn’t like him but later they arrived at the point that he was different in his own way and both father and mother are only caring for the child. When the anchors started their discussion they participated well. They also shared their similar experiences at home with parents. The share and care concept reached them well which was very evident from the incidents they were quoting from their lives.

The children were little playful initially. But when the anchors started their discussion they participated well. They also shared their real time experiences at home with parents. Through the discussions and the statements made by the students, it was quite evident that an ignite of thinking has triggered in them with respect to obeying the parents.

Not much sharing happened in the session. Only a few were involved in the discussions. The anchors’ sharing of points on constructive and destructive emotions were well appreciated by the audience.

The sharing of thoughts was in mono syllables but it was very evident from their body language and expression that they liked the films.

FILM SCREENED : ONCE UPON A LIE

Students’ discussion circled around the following aspects :

  • Not to lie for silly things

  • Exploiting the good nature of parents
  • Telling a lie becomes a reason for guilt

IMPRESSION (Teacher Observer)

Students viewed the film intently. The film was age appropriate and dealt with real time problems which children would come across. It provided a lot of scope for thinking and self correction. Students sharing benefitted each other and built a strong value base. In the course of their discussion, they discovered that one lie would lead to another and it is good to abstain from the same.

The anchors facilitated the session well and brought the group together towards building their own value systems. Student anchors facilitated friendly transactions, shared their own experiences and this brought about better participation.

FILM SCREENED : MY SHOES AND THE SHINER

Students viewed the film with lots of energy and enthusiasm. Especially the Shiner Movie impressed them a lot. The film was age appropriate and thought provoking. Students sharing benefitted each other and built a strong value base. In the course of their discussion, they discovered that hard work pays and being honest gives immense satisfaction.

The anchors facilitated the session well and their open ended questions provoked the thought process in the young ones. Student anchors facilitated friendly transactions and the little ones were quite happy to share their experiences with them.
