I 13-6-2018
  • Introduction with the teachers
  • Elaborated new initiatives taken by the school Eurhythmy, brain gym exercise, phonic based reading modules and specially designed value education modules
  • No home work for students of Std I
  • Highlighted the need for medial parenting in today’s world of technology / the need to control, curate, co-watch and co- create screen time spent by the child.
  • The session was concluded after effective communication from the faculty to the parents and Parents clarifying few doubts related to assessments and the carrying of text books to school

Highlighted areas that focused on:

  • Academics with activity based learning
  • Concrete learning incorporated through math lab , phonic based reading modules, value education, library classes, life skills and field trips New initiatives taken by the school Eurhythmy, brain gym exercise, phonic based reading modules and specially designed value education modules
  • Parents expressed their support for the new assessment system. They preferred the child to be assessed on skills and being marked as approaching, meeting or exceeding as a form of grading over quantification in the form of marks.
  • The parents also raised queries about follow up and remedial measures post assessment.

The principal focus was on the following areas:

  • Focus on academics with activity based learning.
  • Concrete learning incorporated through math lab, phonic based reading modules, value education, library classes, life skills and field trips.
  • Hindi as an additional language after school hours.
  • The Head – Primary briefed on the new assessment system based on skills.
  • Requested parental support in terms of keen observation of children and their needs. Values to be part of everyday living.
  • Videos on positive parenting was screened and the Section Head and the Principal shared their views.
