Film Club Screening – 14 Feb 2023

The video clippings “ONE SMALL STEP“ and “BE HELPFUL” were screened to the students of classes VI-VIII on 14.02.2023 by Mrs. Usha through MS Teams from 5.30 p.m. to 6.10 p.m. After watching the clippings, the students were engaged in a discussion. The following points were discussed by the students:

  • Learn from the failures
  • Everything is possible when you believe
  • Perseverance is strength
  • Have a great aim
  • Have the determination to attain a goal

Film - “Be helpful”

  • We should help our parents.
  • Simple work at home can be done by us
  • Take care of our parents.
  • Washing vegetables in the morning.
  • Filling the water bottle.
  • Packing snacks for school.

Film Club Screening – 11 Feb 2023

A short film ‘Get What You Deserve’ was screened to the students of classes IX-XI on 11/2/2023 through MS Teams from 11.00 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. by Mrs. Roselin Prince. The session started with the screening of a short film after which, the students were engaged in a discussion. The following points were the highlights of the discussion:

  • “Do not judge a book by its cover”.
  • All of us are God’s creation and we are blessed with varied talents irrespective of colour, class, caste, and gender.
  • We might have excelled in various fields like academics, sports, music, and so on. We must extend a helping hand to others who have the talent without any prejudices.
  • Let us pursue our goals and also play a supporting role to help others in reaching their goals as well.

Film Club Screening – 07 Feb 2023

The short film – ‘Role of community helpers’, was screened online to the students of classes VI to VIII on 07.02.2023 between 5:30 pm and 6.10 pm by Mrs. Nirmala. After watching the film, the students were engaged in a discussion. The following points were discussed by the students:

Students’ Understanding of the Short film

  • We should always respect each other and treat everyone with humanity.
  • We need to treat community helpers with kindness as they get treated quite bad in the different places they go to collect garbage
  • We should not throw garbage in public places
  • Separation of plastic from rotten food is very important before throwing the garbage

Grandparent Story Telling

Grand parent story telling activity was conducted for Grade 1 on 06.2.23 between 10:50 am and 11:15 am. Grand mother of Sanjeev Ramalingam - Grade 1 A narrated a story. The story describes ‘If you think good, good will happen’. The session was an interactive.

Students enjoyed the story and participated in a discussion on the characters and their actions in the story.

Junior Nature Club Activity

The Junior Nature Club conducted activities through Microsoft Teams on 1st February 2023. Grade 4 participated in a discussion from 11:00 am to 11:40 am on ‘Making a kitchen garden’ after a Power Point Presentation by the teachers on ‘The need to conserve greenery on the planet’ and ‘All about Hydroponics’. Students shared photographs of potted plants and small gardens they maintain at home. They watched a video clipping on ‘Preparing a compost pit’. Teachers spoke on the vermin compost pit prepared in the school garden. Grade 5 participated in a discussion on the three ‘R’s to conserve nature. They watched videos on ‘Reuse, Reduce, Recycle’. The fourth ‘R - Refuse’ was introduced and discussed how the very refusing to use of pollutants can save our earth.
