Vidya Mandir Estancia School conducted ‘Model UN Conference’ on 29th,30thand 31st of August 2024. Twelve students from our school participated. MUN simulations replicate real-world diplomatic scenarios, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. Students learnt how the UN functions and its principles, and how to promote peace and cooperation through diplomacy. Students learnt a variety of skills, including:
- Research: Students research topics to prepare for MUN conferences.
- Public speaking: Students learnt to articulate their ideas effectively.
- Debating: Students learnt to debate issues with other delegates.
- Writing: Students learnt to write about issues.
- Critical thinking: Students learnt to think critically about issues.
- Teamwork: Students learnt to work with peers from different backgrounds.
- Leadership: Students learnt leadership skills.
